6.1 MICAT Test Duration
Total duration of the examination is 2 hours and 15 minutes.
6.2 MICAT Sectional Composition
MICA admission test, MICAT 2023 is a multidimensional computer based examination, which will assess candidates in areas such as Divergent Thinking Abilities, Written Communication Abilities, General Awareness about contemporary social and business issues, including areas relevant to media, marketing, advertising & current affairs and Analytical & Verbal Abilities.
The MICAT Admission test also includes psychometric profiling to assess the candidate’s leadership potential. MICAT-I and MICAT-II consist of same test sections. Following three sections are there in MICAT exam

6.3.1 Section A: Psychometric Test
- Total Time allotted to this section is 30 minutes
- Around 150 questions are to be attempted in 30 minutes
- The questions are to be quickly answered
- No Negative Marking for the questions in this section
- There is no right or wrong answer for the questions in this section
- It is important to answer all questions in the Psychometric section
- Any un-attempted question will be allotted ZERO mark

9. How to Apply for MICAT?
MICAT application and registration form for the new as well as existing applicants is released by MICA Ahmedabad along with the MICA application form. MICA has introduced common application form to register and apply for MICAT exam and for MICA admission without any extra registration fee. Candidates should fill up the form to apply online. The registration and application form is different for New applicants and for already registered users. Those who had applied for MICAT-I and wish to appear in MICAT-II also, should again apply for MICAT-II

10. MICAT 2023: Eligibility
- A Bachelor’s degree (10 + 2 + 3 system) or an equivalent qualification in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
- Candidates appearing for final examinations towards a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) are also eligible to apply.
- Candidates who demonstrate aptitude for expressing, assessing, and /or conceiving ideas that move people to action and achieve business results tend to stand a better chance of being shortlisted.
- Candidates have to take at least one of the three exams – CAT 2022, XAT 2023 or GMAT to become eligible to appear in MICAT-I or MICAT-II

12.1 MICAT-I & MICAT-II Selection Process Summarised for Admission 2023
The admission process for PGDM-C and PGDM 2023-25 intake has following key points:
- The selection process will happen twice.
- Group Exercise & Personal Interview (GE-PI) through MICAT will be conducted at Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Ahmedabad
- Psychometric test is a qualifier. Those who qualify on the Psychometric, their CAT/XAT/GMAT relative performance will be considered (Subject to a minimum cut-off in CAT total percentile/XAT total percentile/GMAT score)
- Those who qualify based on the CAT/XAT cut-off or GMAT score shall be assessed for the following MICAT sections: Verbal ability (VA), Quantitative ability and Data Interpretation (QADI), General awareness (GA), and Divergent and Convergent Thinking (DCT).
- Those who qualify on the basis of relative performance subject to a minimum cut-off in Scaled Scores for each of these sections (namely: VA, QADI, GA and DCT) and CAT/XAT cut-off or GMAT score shall have their Descriptive Tests evaluated.
- Those who qualify on the basis as mentioned above and on the basis of relative performance subject to a minimum cut-off in Scaled Score in DT shall be considered for short listing for GE and PI.
- Shortlist will be prepared on the basis of MICAT-I and /or II or better of the two relative performances if a candidate has taken both MICAT-I and MICAT-II. (This will be prepared based on the Composite Score formula of 50% CAT/XAT/GMAT and 50% MICAT).
- Approximately 1/10th of the total number of candidates who appear in the two MICATs will be shortlisted for GE & PI based on the Total MICAT Scaled Score.
- Admission will be granted on the basis of merit and subsequently the consideration of the choice of the programme will be factored in.
- Once a candidate, as per the merit list, is offered admission from the programme of his/her first priority, then his/her name will be automatically be withdrawn from the list of the candidates in the programme of his second priority.
12.2 MICAT Weightage in Final Admission at MICA
MICAT 2023, the mandatory Admission Test has 50% Weight in selection process. Check details below

- Apart from appearing in CAT 2022, XAT 2023 or GMAT, the candidates applying for admission to PGDM-C programme at MICA will have to appear in either or the both MICAT 2023 exam namely MICAT-I or MICAT-II
- MICAT commands 50% weightage in shortlisting at MICA
- 50% weightage in shortlisting goes to CAT/XAT/GMAT score.
