The clock has started ticking for prominent MBA entrance exams to be held in 2017 or early in 2018 for admission to 2018-20 batch in IIMs, XLRI, SIBM, FMS, MDI, NMIMS, SPJIMR, JBIMS and other top B-schools in India. The details about these exams, eligibility, exam pattern, syllabus, preparation strategy, Mock tests are shared hereunder:

CAT 2018

Common Admission Test (CAT) 2017 Exam for admission to flagship MBA/PGDM programmes starting in 2018 will be conducted by IIM Lucknow. Exact date of exam is about to be announced. However  in all probability CAT 2017 will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2017.  Professor Neeraj Dwivedi, Admission chair and faculty at IIM Lucknow is the convener for CAT 2017 exam. Going by the past application trends, it is expected that more than 2 lakh candidates will register and apply for CAT 2017.

Since 2015 CAT has become a 180 minutes (3 hours) exam instead of earlier 140 minutes exam.

CAT is the MBA entrance exam for admission to all the 20 IIMs including IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, IIM Lucknow, IIM Indore, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Shillong, IIM Kashipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Raipur, IIM Rohtak, IIM Tricuhirappali, IIM Udaipur.

How to prepare for CAT 2018

CAT Preparation strategy or the question how to prepare for CAT over the years is answered on the basis of 2 important things – CAT previous years test papers and the anticipated CAT pattern with expected changes in CAT. NMAT by GMAC 2018

The NMAT 2017 with the changed name of NMAT by GMAC 2017 is the entrance exam for admission to NMIMS Mumbai, XIM Bhubaneswar, VIT Vellore and other B-schools associated to NMAT by GMAC. NMAT in its new form will be conducted as an online exam in 75 days testing window from October 5 to December 18, 2017. The NMAT (Now NMAT by GMAC) will be a computer based objective type multiple-choice test. Application process for registration for NMAT has opened on July 4, 2017 and would continue till October 3, 2017. 

Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), the owner of GMAT exam acquired NMAT 2017 exam in March 2015 and changed the name of NMAT to NMAT by GMAC. Since then NMAT which used to be the entrance exam only for admission to flagship MBA programme at Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), is known as NMAT by GMAC and is the MBA entrance test for 19 other MBA/PGDM institutes apart from NMIMS. Now there is no NMAT 2017 and the name of the exam is NMAT by GMAC 2017.

SNAP 2018

Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) 2017 is the mandatory MBA entrance examination for admission to 15 Symbiosis B-schools affiliated to Symbiosis International University (SIU). These MBA colleges will accept SNAP 2017 scores for their respective 2 years full time flagship MBA batch 2018-20.

SNAP exam 2017 will be conducted by Symbiosis International University (SIU) for admission to MBA/PGDM 2018-20 batch not only in SIBM Pune but also in other top 14 MBA colleges in the academic year 2018-19.

The University will conduct SNAP 2017 in paper pen based format in 32 cities across the country on the 3rd Sunday of December, 2017 for admission to MBA programmes in all 15 Symbiosis institutes.
